Signs of Hornets
You will notice hornets flying in and out of a specific location with a direct flight pattern to and from the nest entrance. This may be within a hedge, a bank, or under the house fascia. You might also spot a visible nest structure, similar to those shown in our photos and videos. These are clear signs of a hornet nest, and if confirmed, we can provide professional hornet nest removal.
If hornets are scattered across a shrub, tree, or hedge without a clear entry point, they are likely feeding on sap, and no treatment is necessary.
Treatment
We would strongly suggest you do not treat the nest yourself, this is not a sales pitch. Treating some nests without a doubt can be carried out without any problem. BUT there is no telling how each nest can react and some wasps can be extremely aggressive. Certain people can be very susceptible to stings and it would not be an exaggeration to say this can be life threatening.
We are fully trained in wasp nest removal and have been carrying out wasp nest treatments and removal in Cheshire County council, Weaver Vale Housing Trust and many others.
